Field-first, not an afterthought
Works with zero signal
Create measurements and whole sampling sessions completely offline. Everything is saved on the device and shown as "saved locally", then flushed to the server automatically when you are back online - with a retry if the network drops again.
Photos, geotags and QR labels
Document the station, the sample and any anomaly with geotagged photos so context is never lost. Print and scan QR labels to tie a physical sample to its record in the field.
Calculated indicators compute on the spot
Derived indicators (N-NH₄, COD, trophic state and your own formulas) are computed right after you enter the raw values - even offline - so you catch a wrong reading while you are still standing at the station.
Safe sync with conflict handling
When you reconnect, sessions and measurements upload in the right order and lost-update conflicts are detected and resolved, not silently overwritten. Your field day survives a flat battery or a closed tab.

Do I really not need a signal? +
Correct. You can start a project session, add stations and enter measurements with the device fully offline. Nothing is lost - it syncs when connectivity returns.
What happens to my data before it syncs? +
It is stored safely on the device and clearly marked as saved locally. As soon as you are back online it uploads automatically, in the correct order, with automatic retries.
Can I take photos in the field without a connection? +
Yes. Geotagged photos are captured and queued offline alongside your measurements and upload with everything else on reconnect.
Does it run on a phone? +
Yes - LimnoLog installs as an app on phones and desktops, and there is a native Android build with QR scanning, GPS and printing.
